Post 4 - Midpoint Reflection

1)What is the primary mission or purpose of the organization you work for?  Another way to think about this question is to ask, "What primary services does your organization offer and who does your organization serve? What would be some consequences if your organization didn't exist anymore?"
the primary mission of the organzation i work for is about helping people to get their needs in the pantry because their are many people out there who are single parents that they cannot affored for all of their needs. the primary services that the organization offer is food and clothes and they serve many diiferent societies in the community. Some consequences be more hunger in the area because everyweek people who come there to different type of food.
2)What new skills have you learned that you can apply at other jobs?  For example, have you learned to become a better verbal communicator as a result of interacting with clients each day?  If so, how and where could that skill help you get a job in the future?
the new skills i learned is to manage my time while helping the because sometimes there so busy that i would have many peolpe come up to me asking me for help while i'm helping others but i had to able to communicate with each of them through what they need to have in the pantry. I have learned to become a verbal communicator as result of interacting with clients each day in some ways. I think that could help me get a job in the future.
 3)What is similar and/or different about the culture of your internship workplace environment compared to IHSL's school environment?  Provide at least two specific examples.
The difference about the culture of my internship workplace environment compare to IHSL's school environment is that people who are all an adults ans some of are perfessional adults. For example some people come there with their familes and we do not have people in IHSL come with thier famlies to get food in the lunch room. 

4)What kind of relationship do you have with your mentor and co-workers?
we have a very goog relationship of respect for each other and all of my co-workers are very nice and friendly.  

5) What challenges have you had to overcome? Explain the specific steps you've taken to beat those challenges.Some challenges i have  had to overcome is to manage how to help people when their is busy not to concentrate on helping one person but to explore around the pantry.  
6)How has the altered internship schedule affected you?  How have you reorganized your time to make sure you are getting all your classwork done? If you're not getting your assignments done, what can you do for the remaining five weeks to ensure you earn better grades? 
The altered internship scheduleaffectd me by getting some of the work  that were supposed to be done in school now i have done it all at home plus i have to finish all my homework when i come back from my internship. I have reconganized my time to make sure i'm getting all my work done sometimes.
7) You have FIVE WEEKS of internship left. What are two goals do you hope to accomplish during the remaining weeks? These goals could include knowledge you hope to gain or skills you hope to learn. 
My two goals for the next five weeks are to get as many experience as i can, helping and get recommended as a good intern furthermore be helpful to all people who needs my help. Get to know everyone in positive ways.
8) What new things have you learned about New York City as a result of being "out and about"?
throughout my being outside of school i have learned NYC have many different places that i have never  being to.
9)How have you grown as a result of interacting with professional adults?
I think that i has grown as a result of interacting with professional adults because i communicate with them everyday in a positive ways.
10What kinds of communication skills have you gained?  Specifically, how has your English improved since beginning internship?
 Some kind of the communicate i gained  is to speak with people understandable way so that you dont have to repeat yourself when you have other clients to work with.

Here people are lining up to go to the office to sign in and get their card so that they can be able to get the food in the pantry because if they do not have card we will be let them take anything.

Meaning: Beginning, ending, or changing suddenly or with a break.

Meaning: A carrying away of a person against his will, or illegally.

Meaning:To move faster. 

Context/Sentence: sometimes the plane accelerated down the runway

Meaning: To make familiar with something through use or experience.

Context/Sentence: I want to accustom a lot of SAT words.

Meaning: Having the right or privilege of entry. 

Context/Sentence: Mr.Sean admissible the students to enter the class without late pass.
